BGMI 4.6 Update Will Bring Kiaraa, Krafton’s Original Character — New Map, Boss Fight, and Rewards
KRAFTON India has announced Kiaraa, its first original in-game character IP for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The character is made in India by the company’s in-house art team, keeping Indian players in mind.
The BGMI 4.6 update itself comes on 16 September 2026. Kiaraa will join the game later in the same update cycle, on 8 October 2026. With her, players will get her story, a new spot on Erangel, a boss fight, and several new items.
Anamika was the first Indian IP
Kiara has been made especially for the Indian gaming community. In 2025, KRAFTON India first launched Anamika as its original Indian IP. Kiara is the next step. Instead of only using licensed characters, films, or celebrity tie-ups, the company is now building its own gaming characters.

Kiara will join BGMI from 8 October with the 4.6 content update. According to KRAFTON India, her story is tied to Erangel’s map. In the game’s lore, some believe she arrived at the time of the first drop. Others say she came out of the tunnels under Stalber.
She is not here to rule Erangel
In the game’s story, Kiaraa has not come to take over the island. When fear, greed, and betrayal start spreading among players, she wakes up, steps onto the battlefield, and judges those who fight.
KRAFTON India’s Art Director, Shyam Deshpande, said Anamika was only the starting point last year. For Kiaraa, the team had to build a full world around her — a place, a story, and a reason to be on the island. The peacock is her signature. You will see it in the Bazaar lamps, the glider, the buggy, and the Nakshatra Set. The goal was to make her feel like she had always belonged on Erangel.
Srinjoy Das, Director of Marketing and Product Management at KRAFTON India, said Kiaraa lives in the game. She is not just a Spin character. She comes with a story, a Bazaar players can walk through, and a boss battle inside it. This content is exclusive to players in India.
BGMI will get a new Bazaar location
With Kiara’s arrival, Erangel will also get a new Bazaar Point of Interest (POI). This will be BGMI’s second India-based drop zone after Stepwell, which came in 2025. The Bazaar is decorated with a Diwali theme.
This spot is not only for looks. Players will also face a PvE combat challenge here. The dense urban area can become a key place for fights and ambush plays.
Kiaraa’s Test boss fight
The Bazaar is not only for looks. It will also host Kiaraa’s Test, a squad boss fight.
To start it, players need to land in the courtyard, follow four blue indicators, and activate four peacock-shaped lamps. Once all four lamps are on, a lit dome forms a boss fight zone and Kiaraa appears. She fights with a bow and sends arrow attacks from the sky. Squads that beat her get high-tier loot.
New items in the Kiara Nakshatra Spin
Kiara’s launch will also bring the Kiara Nakshatra Spin. It will include several themed cosmetic items:
- Kiara Nakshatra Set — Kiara’s special outfit
- Divine Shine SCAR-L — an upgradable gun skin
- Divine Peacock Glider — a special glider skin
- Divine Rath — a themed vehicle skin
- Divine Edge Machete — a special weapon finish
- Arrow Rain Emote — a special emote
On top of this, players will also get the Kiara Exchange Center, Arena mode challenges, and daily login rewards.
India’s first BGMI Diwali Prize Path
KRAFTON is also launching the BGMI Diwali Prize Path, BGMI’s first Prize Path made only for India. It will run from 22 October to 15 November and will have 20 stages. Top rewards include the Revel 01 Set and the BGMI Diwali Gold Set.
In short, Kiaraa is not just a new skin. She comes with a map location, a boss fight, a full cosmetic collection, and Diwali rewards for Indian players.
