Krafton India has confirmed that the BGMI 4.6 update will roll out on the morning of 16 September 2026. This update will stay live until 16 November 2026.
The main highlight of this version is a new supernatural theme mode called Midnight Hunters. Krafton has also confirmed that the popular Ocean Odyssey mode will return later in the same update.

BGMI 4.6 download apk size
Krafton India has not yet shared the official download size for BGMI 4.6.
When the update goes live on 16 September, the size will show inside the game, Google Play Store, or App Store. Keep some extra storage free on your phone so the download does not fail.

How to download the BGMI 4.6 update Apk
On Android (Play Store)
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for Battlegrounds Mobile India.
- Tap Update when version 4.6 is available.
On iPhone / iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Go to Updates.
- Update Battlegrounds Mobile India when 4.6 appears.
Inside the game You can also open BGMI and tap the update prompt when Krafton starts the rollout.
The update may not come to every phone at the same time. If you do not see it early in the morning, wait a little and check again.
New supernatural mode: Midnight Hunters
The biggest feature of BGMI 4.6 is Midnight Hunters. This is a dark, supernatural-themed mode with a spooky map and new gameplay.
The same theme has already come to PUBG Mobile. Now BGMI players will get it too.
New look of Erangel
The Erangel map layout will stay the same. But it will look darker and more supernatural. Krafton is adding new points of interest (POIs) and special theme creatures. Players will also get new appearances and new abilities.
New creatures and NPC
This mode will include creatures like:
- Bloodwalkers
- Nightbats
- Vampire Elder
There will also be an NPC called Nightkeeper at the Hunter Guild.
New POIs and locations
- Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry, and Gatka will become Vampire Takeover spots.
- Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base will have Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild.
- The map will also get a Hunter Training shooting range, a Clock Tower, and Scream Crates.
New theme items
- Hunter Bandage: Helps you recover health faster.
- Silvermoon Chain: A chain weapon that works well against creatures.
- Twilight Bat Wings: Lets you move faster and fly across the map.
Midnight Hunters will be available from 16 September to 16 November 2026.
Ocean Odyssey theme mode is coming back
Krafton India has also confirmed that the popular Ocean Odyssey underwater theme will return in BGMI 4.6.
- It will come back on Erangel on 30 September.
- Players can play it together with Midnight Hunters.
